This 4-day course is designed to prepare wood flooring professionals to become a wood flooring inspector. The NWFACP Certified Wood Flooring Inspector Test will be offered on Friday, September 28, 2018 for an additional cost. Must be a member of NWFA to register for the test.

Inspector School

·         Prerequisites

o   Minimum of 3 years’ experience in wood floor installation and sand & finish

o   Successful completion of NWFA Intermediate Installation Training and Intermediate Sand & Finish Training

o   Complete the NWFA University Installation , Sand & Finish and Sales courses   

This 4-day course is designed to prepare wood flooring professionals to become a wood flooring inspector. Topics include:

·         Inspectors’ professional role and legal responsibilities.

·         Learning why and how to properly identify the issue.

·         The art and skill of conducting interviews.

·         Thorough training on testing methods, tools and how this is used to validate some specific issues.

·         Students will learn where to find and how to use and review industry standards.

·         The importance of report writing.

·         Conduction of an inspection.

Actual flooring inspections are included as part of the training. The NWFACP Inspector Certification Test will be offered to NWFA members on the Friday morning following the school for an additional cost.

·         Receive four continuing certification units upon completion


On day-five there is the option to take the NWFACP Inspector Certification Test for an additional charge of $350. Must be an NWFA member to register for the test.
